Made by legendary wine maker Roberto Anselmi from top notch vineyards. Glorified as a Wine Spectator Top 100 and appearing on many Michelin star restaurants representing one of the finest Italy has to offer. At first glance at the blend of Garganega, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc you might think this is a bit of a mish mash. But my oh my are you wrong. This is one of my favourite white wines coming from Italy. This drop hails from the Monteforte area, near the San Vincenzo Shrine in Veneto- also known for Prosecco production!
An expressive white wine both creamy and lightly juicy throughout. A succulent palate with flavours of mango, passionfruit, blood orange, fresh tarragon, yellow peach and a lick of minerality set in a light-bodied frame. Very much like a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc just without that cloying acidity.
A suave match for pasta in creamy pesto sauce, sushi or risotto with pork tenderloin.
