I really enjoy this wine whenever I drink it - which is often. I fell in love with this wine sitting in a hut on a drive your own safari tour listening to lions roar and hyenas cackle quite close. We had just had a lekker braai and we drank this bottle for dessert with cumin gouda and grapes. I am obsessed with the Cabernet Franc grape and this drop gives me everything I am looking for- every time.
Smokey leather and fruit so pure lures you in. Laced with some chilli & rosemary in the form of an Ottelnghi flavour bomb- the sips only get better.
From a family who only really work with two grapes- Chenin & Cab franc. Sometimes they experiment with Malbec and the likes but they excel with the two C's they've chosen to adorn. Look out for the Raats family Old Vine Chenin too. Its glorious
