Dating back to 1685 and described as one of the world’s most beautiful wine estates. Klein Constantia is set amidst ancient trees on the upper foothills of the Constantiaberg, with views across False Bay.
The perfect location for cool climate wines, Klein Constantia produces some of South Africa’s top wines, including one of the world’s best natural sweet wines, Vin de Constance. Anwilka, Klein Constantia’s sister farm in Stellenboch, produces worldclass red blends under the guidance of internationally acclaimed Bordeaux wine experts.
Flavours of redcurrant, plum and cassis fill the nose. A vibrant entry onto the palate gives way to ripe tannins and a sophisticated full body. Richly textured with subtle oak spice, the finish is long and punctuated.
Cabernet Sauvignon 47% & Merlot 46%
The grapes were harvested by hand and aged in a combo of French oak and stainless steel (to retain that fruity freshness) for 14 months before bottling.
